Welcome
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is a great pleasure for us to warmly welcome you to the 15th International Symposium on Minimal Residual Cancer (ISMRC 2027) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, from 12–14 May 2027.
The ISMRC meetings were initiated almost 30 years ago in 1996 by Klaus Pantel and now represent a major international event covering many aspects of liquid biopsy in cancer patients. Over the years, ISMRC has become a unique forum bringing together clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to discuss the latest advances and future directions in the rapidly expanding field of Liquid Biopsy.
This international meeting will be a fantastic opportunity to gather for three days and share the most recent developments in the rapidly evolving field of liquid biopsy, which is truly becoming a medical revolution.
The congress will include fundamental and translational research presentations focusing on the different components of liquid biopsy, including ctDNA, EVs, CTCs, and other emerging biomarkers. In addition, perspectives on the future of liquid biopsy and its integration into routine clinical practice will be presented.
Special sessions will be dedicated to the underlying biology of ctDNA, cancer evolution, emnerging technologies, advances and implementation of MRD, multi-cancer early detection (MCED), the use of ctDNA in clinical trials and treatment decision-making, immuno-oncology, multimodal liquid biopsy data integration, and more.
Plenary presentations will be delivered by leading international experts in liquid biopsy and cancer biology. ISMRC continues to strongly support young investigators through selected oral communications within plenary sessions and poster presentations. Outstanding oral and poster contributions will be recognized with the ISMRC Young Investigator Awards.
We are delighted to welcome you to Palma de Mallorca, a city known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and beautiful Mediterranean setting, which will provide an inspiring environment for scientific exchange and networking.
We look forward to welcoming you to Palma de Mallorca in May 2027!
Sincerely,
Rodrigo Toledo
