Welcome

Dear Colleagues and Prospective Partners,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Islet Study Group Conference 2026, taking place June 17–19, 2026, at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB).

The Islet Study Group (ISG) Conference is a leading international forum dedicated to advancing islet biology and diabetes research. Since its foundation, the meeting has brought together scientists, clinicians, and innovators from across the globe to exchange ideas, share discoveries, and strengthen collaborations that drive the field forward.

The 2026 program will feature plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, industry talks, and sessions on cutting-edge topics such as:
Genomics & epigenomics of islet cells
Metabolism in islet cells
Islet treatment strategies in T1D & T2D
Human islets modelling
Islet dysfunction beyond T1D & T2D
Endocrine-exocrine crosstalk

Set against the backdrop of Barcelona, a city where scientific excellence meets cultural vibrancy, the PRBB offers state-of-the-art facilities designed to promote collaboration and innovation. We are confident that this dynamic environment will enhance both the scientific and social experience of all participants.

We warmly invite corporate partners, foundations, and research organizations to join us in supporting this key event. Your participation will demonstrate a shared commitment to advancing diabetes research and improving patient care worldwide.
